You do not start again
Recognition of Prior Learning pathways for students displaced by the closure of Breathe Education. Three options, every cost listed, and a clear picture of how many of your hours come with you.
Do this first, before anything else
Log into your old student portal and save everything you can. Transcripts, assessment records, hours logs, feedback documents, and screenshots of your progress.
Portal access disappears quickly in these situations, and once it is gone it is gone. That evidence is exactly what determines how many of your hours transfer across, so it is worth ten minutes today.
How Recognition of Prior Learning works here
We run Pilates certifications across Australia and internationally. If you have completed theory, practical hours, observation hours, or assessments elsewhere, we want to recognise that work and credit it toward a TME certification rather than make you begin again from zero.
In practice that means three things:
- Your verified apprentice hours are assessed and carried across, so you only complete what is genuinely missing.
- You complete every online module in the TME portal for your modality. All of them, not a selection. These carry your foundational theory hours and the assessment that goes with them, and the certification cannot be issued without them.
- You submit one filmed final assessment package per modality, marked by a TME educator.
We cannot do it for free, and we will not pretend otherwise. We have priced it knowing you have already paid once.
The three pathways
Every pathway is delivered digitally. None of them include in person practical days.
Taking both modalities separately would be $700. The combined pathway is $550, so you save $150 by enrolling in both at once.
TRAIN ME EDUCATION
Your Apprentice Hours
Every category is completed separately for each discipline. This is the standard your existing hours are assessed against, so you can see straight away how much of what you have already logged transfers across.

THE THREE THAT TRIP PEOPLE UP
Online limit. Up to 50% of Observation and Self Practice can be online. Practice Teaching is always in person.
When you start. Observation and Self Practice from enrolment. Practice Teaching only after your practical days.
No paid teaching. If money changes hands, the hours cannot be logged. No exceptions.
Anything you have already completed and can evidence is credited against these totals. You only complete the shortfall.
The rules that decide what counts
Before you tally up what you think you have, check your hours against these. They apply to hours transferred in exactly as they apply to hours logged with us.
- Up to 50% of Observation and Self Practice can be online. The remainder must be in person. Practice Teaching must be in person in full.
- No paid practice teaching. Any session where money changed hands does not count. Until you are certified you are not qualified or insured to teach paying clients, and hours must be unpaid and purely for learning.
- A liability waiver for every participant. One form per person, no matter how many sessions they attend.
- Hours must be evidenced. Dates, times, studio, type of session. Your old logbook or portal export is usually enough.
If some of your hours do not meet these rules, you do not lose the pathway. You simply complete the shortfall before you submit, at your own pace, inside your six month window.
Every cost, in one place
All amounts are in Australian dollars. If a cost is not on this list, we do not charge it.
| Item | Cost | When |
| RPL Pathway: Mat.Certification | $350 | Once, at enrolment |
| RPL Pathway: Reformer.Certification | $350 | Once, at enrolment |
| RPL Pathway: Mat and Reformer | $550 | Once, at enrolment |
| Digital TME manual | Included | Standard with every pathway |
| Assessment marking and written feedback | Included | Standard with every pathway |
| First resubmission | Included | One free, per modality |
| Further resubmissions | $50 each | Only if needed. Covers educator marking time |
| Printed manual | $120 per book | Optional, on request. Digital is standard |
| In person practical days | Not included | Not part of the RPL pathway |
| AUSactive registration and insurance | Paid to third parties | After you certify. Not a TME fee |
Your own costs to complete outstanding apprentice hours, such as studio access or class attendance, sit outside this list and vary depending on how many hours you have left.
What the six months could look like
Six months is your outer limit for submitting, not a schedule we hold you to. How quickly you move through the middle is entirely up to your availability.
STEP ONE
Enrol and get access
Choose your pathway and you have immediate access to the TME portal for your modality, plus your digital manual. Your six month window starts here.
STEP TWO
Send us your evidence
Upload the records you saved: transcripts, hours logs, assessment results. A TME educator reviews them against our requirements.
STEP THREE
You get your shortfall in writing
We confirm which hours are credited and exactly what is left to complete, category by category. No guesswork from that point on.
STEP FOUR
Work through the portal
Every online module for your modality, at your own pace, alongside any outstanding apprentice hours. This is the longest stretch and it is yours to set.
STEP FIVE
Film and submit
A written session plan in the TME format and a filmed live session with four participants. For Reformer, add the 15 minute apparatus video.
STEP SIX
Marking, feedback, certification
Written feedback from your educator, one free resubmission if you need it, then your certification is issued.
Students arriving with most of their hours already logged and evidenced often move through this in weeks rather than months. Students with a larger shortfall in Practice Teaching, which must be in person, should plan for the full window.
One honest note
Some students are enrolled in a nationally recognised qualification. Train Me Education is not a registered training organisation, so we cannot complete or credit toward that specific qualification, and we will not tell you otherwise.
What we can tell you is this. There is no legal requirement in Australia to hold a nationally recognised qualification to teach Pilates. What actually gates you working is insurance and whether a studio will hire you. TME certification meets AUSactive requirements, so our graduates register with AUSactive and get insured through the same pathway every working trainer uses.
If holding the nationally recognised qualification specifically matters to you, tell us before you enrol. We will point you to where your records go and who can pick up your enrolment. You get a straight answer either way.
Questions we get asked
How do I know how many of my hours will transfer?
What if I have lost access and cannot get my records?
Do I have to redo the online modules even if I covered that theory before?
What if my submission does not pass?
How long do I have?
Will this let me get insured and work?
Not sure which pathway fits?
Tell us where you got up to and what you have evidence for. We will come back with a straight answer on which pathway suits and roughly how much of your work carries across.
We will read every submission and come back to you personally. No sales call, no pressure.
Questions before you enrol, or not sure which course you were enrolled in? Email hello@trainmeeducation.com.au and we will help you work it out.
